Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area
During travels to San Francisco and the Bay Area on I-80, one passes the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area. Most people don't pay attention to anything except heavy traffic and the chronic rebuilding of Route 80 in this area.

The Bird Group makes frequent outings to this wildlife refuge, also called the Vic Fazio Yolo Wildlife Area. You can see many species during your visit.
During the 3-hour loop around harvested rice fields and wetlands, we saw dozens of varieties of waterfowl, migratory birds, and raptors.
