Ferndale is a short distance from Rt. 101, about 260 miles north of San Francisco. It has an interesting Main Street with quite a number of well-preserved Victorian buildings, and a cemetery up on a hill next to the town.

We were lucky to visit during an animal parade - a bit strange but the locals were having lots of fun.
